Popular Post Sand
Hello everyone, I’m Sand44 and this is my Centurion Speech. Today marks 540 days of being free from nicotine, and my first 100 days at QuittingDip. Like many others here, I showed up late to the party. You see, I started out on a different site, which did serve its purpose and was a huge part of my life for over a year until some stuff happened which led me to seek out another site. I’m absolutely without a doubt, grateful for the chain of events that led me here. QD is like a pirate ship. It’s not for everyone, but my god do these bunch of misfits and assholes know how to quit nicotine. Hop on, mimic the successful people that have been around here for years, and you too, will be successful. Guarantee it. It does not matter if you’re at 30 days, or 3000 days.. you’re going to get the same accountability. Nobody is special. Just ask the guys that have been here for years if you don’t believe me. I really had no idea there was a whole separate place that I could be surrounded by people that take their quit as seriously as I do. At the other site, when a caver would come back and I’d push them around a bit..more often than not, other vets would show up and take the caver’s side. I found myself wondering if I took my quit too seriously sometimes because of this. That doesn’t exist here. Quit is the only thing that exists here.. anything that is not quit is immediately identified and shot down. There’s more to quitting dip than just not putting the shit in your pie hole and hanging on for dear life until the next day, it’s an attitude adjustment. “One day at a time (ODAAT)” is great at first, but eventually a switch needs to be flipped to “Never Again For Any Reason (NAFAR)” which means you’ve assigned finality to your quit. My quit has been much, much stronger since I’ve adopted this ideology. As I write this, we’ve got a global pandemic going on that the media says is going to kill us all and I can STILL abso-fucking-lutely guarantee I have no desire to go back to the old loser nicotine junky I once was. If any of this speech resonates with you.. new quit, old quit.. doesn’t matter.. join up. We like trustworthy, solid quitters.. everyone else can fuck off. Thank you.
